Illustration: Banaba

The leaves of the beautiful banaba tree have been used as tea for centuries as it offers various health benefits, including helping regulate blood sugar, and increasing metabolism.

2 tsp cleaned and dried Banaba Leaves
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp honey

1. Clean the banaba leaves. Cut them into 2-inch wide pieces. Place them in a dehydrator for about 8 hours. (To retain its nutrients, never dry your leaves under the sun.) Once dry, place the leaves in a bag, and crush them. Then transfer to a container.
2. To make tea, place 2 tsp of the dried banaba leaves in a tea infuser. Place the infuser in a cup.
3. Boil 2 cups of water, then pour it over the infuser.
4. Steep for about 4 minutes. Remove the infuser, then add lemon and honey.
